WearMouse Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how WearMouse ("the App"), developed and published by Ace Coders (PTY) Ltd ("Ace Coders", "we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the App on a Wear OS device.

We designed WearMouse to provide Bluetooth mouse functionality from your Wear OS smartwatch while collecting as little personal information as reasonably necessary.

1. Information We Collect

WearMouse does not require you to create an account and we do not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, messages, photos, files, precise location, or other personal information through the core functionality of the App.

The App may process the following technical information locally on your device:

• Bluetooth connection and device information required to establish and maintain a connection.
• Touch, gesture, button, and interaction input required to control the mouse.
• Motion or sensor data, if used by a feature to translate watch movement into cursor movement.
• App settings and preferences necessary to operate the App.

This information is used to provide the App's functionality and is not intended to identify you personally.

2. Bluetooth and Nearby Devices

WearMouse uses Bluetooth functionality to communicate with compatible devices. Depending on your Wear OS and Android version, the operating system may request permissions related to Bluetooth or nearby devices.

Bluetooth-related information is used solely to discover, connect to, communicate with, and manage compatible Bluetooth devices required for the App's functionality. WearMouse does not use Bluetooth to track your physical location.

3. Sensors

If WearMouse uses motion sensors such as the accelerometer or gyroscope, sensor readings may be processed on the Wear OS device to translate wrist movement or gestures into mouse input.

Sensor data used for mouse control is processed locally where technically feasible and is not intentionally uploaded to our servers.

4. Data Storage

App preferences, configuration, and similar settings may be stored locally on your device so that the App can remember your choices.

We do not operate a backend service that requires you to upload personal data in order to use the core mouse functionality.

5. Advertising

The App may include advertising in certain versions or releases. If advertising services are used, third-party advertising providers may process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, diagnostics, or interaction data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

Where applicable, advertising and consent choices are controlled through the operating system, Google Play, or the relevant advertising provider.

6. In-App Purchases

WearMouse may offer optional paid features or upgrades through Google Play. Payments are processed by Google Play and we do not receive or store your full payment card or banking details.

Google may process purchase-related information according to its own privacy policies and terms.

7. Third-Party Services

WearMouse may rely on third-party services provided by Google or other service providers for functionality such as application distribution, purchases, diagnostics, analytics, or advertising.

These third parties may process technical information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of relevant third-party services.

8. Analytics and Crash Reporting

If analytics or crash-reporting services are enabled in a particular version of WearMouse, they may collect technical information such as app version, device model, operating system version, crash information, and general usage information.

Such information is used to understand crashes, improve reliability, and maintain the App. We do not intentionally use crash or diagnostic data to identify you personally.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers where necessary to operate, secure, maintain, analyze, distribute, or monetize the App, or where required by law.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the App. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

WearMouse is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your information.

Because WearMouse is designed to minimize personal-data collection and most core functionality operates locally on your device, there may be little or no personal information held by us that can be associated with you.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable law, or our services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
